The client approached us to install their dream landscape design after beginning the renovation of their beautiful federation house in Newtown.
Hand-shaped sandstone retaining walls in the front yard created a level terrace with a pond water feature as the main attraction, formally surrounded by clipped Murraya and Buxus hedges with 4 feature trees in each corner. Heritage steps to the front door to the side of the terrace garden were tiled in traditional tiles and a softer herbaceous border in front of the retaining wall created an overall beautiful garden.
We have continued to provide ongoing maintenance, and this house and garden have gone on to win the HIA house of the year for the builder and also appeared on My Kitchen rules TV show.
