Pittwater Design and draft had designed a renovation of the existing house and it was built superbly by the Mahony Group. When we started it was a blank canvas. We had designed a new garden sympathetic to the house and the views over Pittwater. The client lives in Adeliade, so they wanted a relatively low maintenance garden with which they could enjoy family time in when they came up for the holidays. We designed a large washed aggregate drive that led to 2 carports and swept through the main entry to the house giving them good access. Below the drive we designed a large oval shaped lawn with mixed perennial gardens around it, softening the drive and house. We continued the other gardens around the house to continue the perennial gardens with a twist of tropical, that was further continued in the rear gardens. In the rear, an existing large lawn was planted out around the perimeter with a mix of tropical plantings and groundcovers as the gardens are massive.
