One of our favourite projects to date, this stunning house was designed by Mary-Ellen Architects, with the garden very much a feature of her design.
One side of the house was on a slope of 40 degrees with bedrooms extending out with gardens overflowing down to the ground to create a hanging ‘Garden of Babylon’ feel. This was combined with multiple first-floor gardens and a roof garden – creating a truly stunning ‘garden house’ design.
While there were numerous challenges across the whole project, from having to blow soil in to all the first floor gardens, to running irrigation out of an old pool buried below the ground, to installing a wire trellis plants could hang off, the end result was stunning and we were pleased to be trusted to bring this design to life!
